J.A.W with Motor City Drum Ensemble, Waxist, Clementine

TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR, FROM 11PM SHARP

Let´s close our spring series with a proper night. Danilo Plessow aka Motor City Drum Ensemble does not need any big introduction. One of he most talended german house producers & fine music connoisseur when it comes to obscure spiritual jazz, 70´s soul, music library, Detroit & Chicago House or Disco. MCDE managed to create his own signature , deep and haunting sound injecting his tracks with an amount of roughness, energy and gritty soul which has become uncommon in times of digital production. We had the pleasure to welcome the man at J.A.W last year for our tenth anniversary, alongside Gilles Peterson, Yussef Kamaal, Sadar Bahar or Jameszoo. Thrilled to have him back along with the Family.

Waxist has made himself a serious name on the DJ scene when it comes to Modern Soul, rare Disco, Boogie, Jamacain Reggae or Carribian music with a disco twist. He belongs to this generation of French gifted DJs who´re not fear to blend genres and rhythms in their mixes, like Jeremy Underground. Based in Lyon, our man collaborates with various label on rarities reissue projects & edits, especially with the excellent Favorite Recordings. The fresh Family member is keeping it busy with a compilation of sought-after modern soul bangers on Favorite as well as another one on the London based label BBE Records.

Clémentine is a young french DJ & Selector with crossover influences from modern soul to Blue-eyed Soul, jazz-fusion or disco. As co-manager of Les DisquesSuperfriends, host of her own radio show - Mellow Madness - or during her regular nights at our Parisian crib L´Entrée des Artistes Pigalle, Clementine´s knowledge when it comes to soulfull music is impressive for such a young age. Ask people such as Saint James, MCDE Label co-founder Pablo Valentino or Jeremy Underground what they think about the talended young selector...
