'Positive Energy Forever' is the motto of Steel City Dance Discs, a label founded in Australia and now based in the UK. It's also the title of one of the countless hits by their perhaps most popular act, Mall Grab, who is also one of the label's three operators. In the past seven years, he has put almost every dance genre through the special mall grab filter on more than twenty releases and, equipped with catchy melodies and samples, into a voluminous house or techno corset that sounds like vintage equipment translated. Steel City Dance Discs are coming to the Panorama Bar tonight with a colorful cross-section for label night: the Australian Loods with his infectious disco house sound; the Italian Matisa, who plays eclecticly between melodic trance, techno and post-punk; Skin on Skin, known for its adrenaline pumping techno tracks with down-pitched vocals; the Australian Surusinghe, who also lives in the UK and has a preference for bass, jungle, breakbeat and techno; last but not least the label DJ team S.C.D.D. Hazmat.
