Nerds & Nuggets Vol. 37: Swamp Music w/ Jeff "Alabama" Collier
Such a hot summer deserves an evening of music that carries all the humidity and smampyness, the mud, the sweat and the heat. Nerds & Nuggets Vol. 37 will be that kind of sundrenched evening.
Guest-DJ Jeff Collier (from Alabama! and Laura Carbone's drummer) and your host Jan Schwarzkamp (VISIONS Magazin / Radio Fritz) will give you American highway-feelz, bayou-soaked twang & Southern fried melodies.
Expect muddy blues, sticky soul, redneck-lovesongs and swampy rock from Bobby Gentry to The Allman Brothers, from Leon Russel to John Lee Hooker, from Dr. John to Lee Dorsey, The Louvin Brothers, Allen Toussaint, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, The Rolling Stones, The James Gang, C.C.R. and many more...
