The Bang On Music Festival in Berlin will be extended to two days

Accessible and inclusive festival announces diverse lineup and new afterparty collaboration

Bang On Music Festival in Berlin returns to its pre-COVID festival format in a big way in 2022! Featuring a packed line-up of local and up-and-coming music acts. For the first time ever, the festival will be extended to two full days and features a new afterparty in collaboration with the Sonntagsinstitut Kollektiv.

After two consecutive years of Bang On hosting a limited capacity outdoor concert series, the two-day festival will take place this autumn (30 September - 1 October 2022) at the accessible venues Marie-Antoinette and Fitzroy. As always, the Bang On will showcase a wide range of musical styles and place an emphasis on inclusion, with a strong commitment to FLTQI and BIPOC artists.

The 2022 festival focuses on Berlin-based South African artist Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys, dark cinematic pop act Odd Beholder and producer collaboration Zoom Zoom Rentals. In addition to a line-up of hot post-punk, mutated hip-hop, thick basses and crunchy beats, two brand new artists will also be performing this year. The tongue-in-cheek duo Baby Smith make their Berlin debut at Bang On, and non-binary artist TheOtherWithin introduces the melancholy, experimental tracks to a live audience for the first time.

Also new in 2022 is the after-party collaboration between Bang On and Sonntagsinstitut Kollektiv. The music and events collective brings their signature party crew, including Prozecca and THF Radio regular Ronja, with plenty of club tunes, riot grrl punk and '90s pop.
