SINNBUS
Under "Sinnbus Signals" we, the Berlin label Sinnbus, present a good part of our current artists. We are happy to finally be able to fill our platform for new and exciting, nerdy and hugging music with life again this late autumn, and on one of Berlin's most beautiful stages whimsical electro, sprawling art rock prog, dream indie and rugged experimental to bring Pop together.
In almost two decades, the Berlin music business Sinnbus has experienced all the ups and downs, keeps moving and allows itself the luxury of constant change. What began as a classic DIY buddy in the local niche grew into an international operation and became and is home to such great and tasteful bands as Bodi Bill, Odd Beholder or We Are The City - from sprawling post-rock to brittle indie pop and wild noise to cool, distanced electronic music.
US
After the Berlin project management real-time performance UNS 2019 phenomenal buried its ten year run, its entire own work and actually the whole year itself, and with all that, to a certain extent, the world as we knew it is now going again the dust coughed aside.
Synthpunk with vocal gestures between Peter Hein and Heinz Rudolf Kunze. LMGTFY, younger audience. Pieces that go crazy in a triangle of dance floor, reading room and mosh pit. Pieces that blow the drive, anger and sex as an alternative to the preset Tetris, which is currently bouncing unquestioningly through all disco PAs. Sometimes these pieces of German pop music tenderly caress stupidity from the face, sometimes they hand out slaps indiscriminately, then again they crack the clap whip of self-flagellation on their own backs.
Fortunately, everything that we do is still art.
BODI BILL
"I Love U I Do", the Berlin electro pop / indie institution BODI BILL tells us and will release its new album of the same name in spring 2022! A good two years ago, Bodi Bill picked up the thread again and started working on new music. Since then, not only melancholic, crooked super hits like "What If" or "Kiss Operator" have emerged; as soon as the band got together again, they dissolved their structures again. In favor of an open collective and the joy of experimenting with an uncertain outcome.
As nodes in an irregularly knit web, Bodi Bill now bring their own energies together again. With a newly found serenity, they throw old ways of working and internal structures overboard, challenge themselves and ask counter-questions rather than provide answers. Ten years after the last record “What”, the Berlin collective around the singer and producer Fabian Fenk finally says “Back to the Future” again, simply superimposes everything to play with the possibilities, to maybe close a circle. And sure to open a new one.
WE WILL KALEID
We Will Kaleid are looking for a strong contrast. In dense electronic songs they prefer direct confrontation to comfortable harmony. In the lyrics as well as in their music, We Will Kaleid look for breaks more than appearances, they challenge and create their attraction from it. The band creates dense arrangements with minimalistic sound material, creates an atmosphere that is as dark and oppressive as it is intoxicated with just a few voice and beat fragments and analogue synthesizers.
We Will Kaleid make music for those trying not to break under a system that is completely against them. Trying to keep their dignity in an all-consuming wasteland. And who inevitably have to fail.
LOUPE
The indie / dream pop quartet Loupe from Amsterdam emerged from the indie rock band Dakota and continues their melancholic sound world, even if Loupe's pieces are more gripping and concrete, and more open towards euphoria.
Loupe are now releasing their debut EP "Older". Four atmospheric indie rock songs, written in their rehearsal bunker in Amsterdam, with a common thread: the contrast between the hustle and bustle of the city and the silence at home.
