La Bomba Cumbia Party mit Faela!, Sistema Sonidero, DJs: Edna Martinez & DAGVII

The spring edition of La Bomba Cumbia Party! This time with 2 live acts: the amazing latin-balkan band Faela! from Malmö/Sweden & the cumbia-fusion giants Sistema Sonidero from Berlin, but also with 2 DJs: Edna Martinez from Colombia/Berlin with her afro-latin-lropical mix & resident DAGVII with best cumbiatronic & global bass tunes. There’s also a new location, directly in the Kulturbrauerei, close to U Eberswalder Str is a sweet place on the 2nd floor called Maschinenhaus. Be curious about good vibes, latin flavors and CUMBIA!

It really doesn’t matter if it’s a large festival stage with thousands of people in the audience or if it is a small sweaty German club scene. Faela always manages to knock you down like a boxer’s right hook. The seven musicians with roots in Argentina, England, Spain and Sweden mix Latin, Jazz, Rock and Balkan with one common goal in mind: To make you lose. There is no room for skepticism, analyses, discussions or debates. There is only a room for you to lose all your dignity and dance until you drop!
The band was formed in 2007 in Malmö/Sweden. Since then they have released 4 albums and 1 EP. The ever growing fan base shows that Faela truly is irresistible!

Sistema Sonidero 
Cumbia meets Reggae/Dancehall meets the seventies: Sistema Sonidero is the best kind of fusion music. A whirlwind of countless different influences, cultures and ideas, it's as diverse and exciting as the capital itself. For Berlin might be their adopted home base, but this group has come together from all corners of the world, bringing with them the hottest sounds their streets had to offer. 

Edna Martinez (Prende la Vela/ Latinarab/ Kréyol)
Edna Martinez grew up in Cartagena de Indias, in the colombian caribbean which influence her musical selection: African organic rhythms, Tropical sounds, Champeta, Cumbia, Latin and even Arabic folklore. She is an artist, creator and organizer of cultural events like "Prende la Vela" that faithfully recreate the Afro-Latin culture in Berlin, "Latinarab", and co-founder of "Kréyol" and she is also a lover of records and dancing.

DAGVII (MirMix Global Party Berlin, La Bomba)
Resident DJ of MIRMIX Bash – the global music party and La Bomba Cumbia Party in Berlin. Half Russian and half German and as boundless as his music, he has traversed the musical landscape since he was a child. His crossover of traditional sounds and modern beats tears down any cultural walls. It is accompaniment, atmosphere, inspiration and comfort all in one – energetic and uplifting to the last drop. At La Bomba he plays digital cumbia mixed with global bass and surprised latin music.
