The Jerk Festival Berlin is a cultural open-air festival celebrating Jamaican food, music, and community. Rooted in Caribbean tradition and urban culture, the festival brings people together to experience authentic jerk and Caribbean cuisine, sound, and community in the heart of Berlin.
What is “jerk”?
Jerk is a traditional Jamaican cooking style and refers to both a seasoning blend and a cooking method. In Jamaica, “jerk” is synonymous with BBQ, sharing food, and coming together. It has no negative connotations that the term can have in other contexts.
Festival motto: “Out of Many, One People”
Inspired by Jamaica’s official national motto, the festival stands for unity in diversity. People from diverse cultures and walks of life come together, sharing food, music, and energy – creating a shared experience.
Look forward to Caribbean street food, DJs and live acts, cultural events, and a vibrant community atmosphere.
