About Renate Berlin

The House Of Red Doors: Icons

Staring down at you in bed from your teenage bedroom wall. Beaming from the bright, huge cinema screen as you sit transfixed in the darkness. Carved by masters from stone in holy temples. Ancient markings daubed in caves. In paintings hailed by many gilded in gold. Deities glowing as they're hailed and praised. Names scrawled with biro in public toilet stalls. Looming from billboards. Smiling from the cover of magazines. Singing into your headphones as you wait for the bus in the rain. In day dreams. In night dreams. Striding the line between mythology and reality. ICONS surround us. Bad Bruises invite you to become an ICON.

You must have put i effort.

Holy prophets, classic Hollywood stars, cartoons, larger than life characters from history, logos & corporations, Your personal ICONs from childhood OR of course your favourite HORDs outfits. Fetish, military, naked.. Express yourselves and help us transport you to another world.
