Rituals X Female:Pressure IWD Edition

We come as an example of the event series creating sustainable infrastructure for gender equality, which has brought to us valuable opportunities to Dj and showcase our music and became active participants in establishing even more inclusive systems! YES, Rituals x female:pressure celebrate International Women’s Day!

MOJAVE
Happy to welcome overseas guest MOJAVE, resident DJ at Modern Disco Ambassadors’ La Cave and regular performer at ExchangeLA, California. Internationally, she holds a residency on Barcelona City FM radio and appears regularly on radio in the U.K., U.S., Germany, and Canada. Mojave has played top venues and festivals throughout the U.S. and Europe, sharing the stage with the likes of Radio Slave, John Tejada, The Advent or Ken Ishii. She is a multi-instrumentalist with a foundation in classical, jazz and music theory, formal training in sound design and production. MOJAVE delivers exciting, genre-blurring live sets and compositions as she moves fluidly between soulful house, jackin’ techno, dark, ethereal techno, ambient stretches and breaks. Her unique sound is drawing inspiration from the beauty and decay of Southern California's Mojave Desert.

The Allegorist
The Allegorist, is a live performance by Anna Jordan originally Hungarian, now Berlin based transdisciplinary artist. The Allegorist stands for an imaginative journey through all ages, for a better future. It mixes all styles and genres and sets no limitations. Every great idea is welcomed and included into the mindset of a diverse unity. The Allegorist sings in the fictional and majestic Mondoneoh language, to connect all nations and honour all our ancestors. In 2016 her debut album „Botanical Utopia“ was released by the greek label „Kraak Records“. And in 2017 Anna Jordan began working simultaneously on music and video production, which resulted in her latest audio-visual works for her second album „Hybrid Dimension I.“ released on Detroit Underground.

Red Pig Flower
Opening set is in hands of an experienced performer, producer, visual artist, DJ and label owner Red Pig Flower. Berlin based Korean-Japanese artist has released on labels such as Baile Musik, Brise, Proper Slap and Yoruba Grooves. Red takes her inspiration from stories she’s heard, books she’s read and other art forms that feed her creative mind. Her impressive back catalogue of material has gained her the attention of leading publications and influencers in underground electronic music such as XLR8R, Resident Advisor and BBC Radio 1 and she promised to dig deep in her techno archive for a special opening set.

Akkamiau
Morning activities will be taken care of by Akkamiau, audiovisual artist and producer, also a gender activist and restless promoter of female:pressure network. Akkamiau brings local electromagnetic techno production, having black hole Berlin as endless source of its dark energy. With ritualistic kangaroo-kitty-cat dance we close the floor of the IWD celebration.
