Notes From Underground VI

Join us for a unique selection of finest underground music…

Notes from Underground and Etikett Radio chose two musical highlights that guarantee a contrasting evening. Be prepared for some diversification to the electronic music scene that usually awaits you in Berlin.

// Electric Zoo- the hottest band to come out of Israel’s burgeoning indie scene in the last few years. With a sound akin to the psychedelic British rock of the late 1960’s, The Who and Fleetwood Mac being obvious influences, Electric Zoo bring the warm, retro sounds of the Sixties mixed with their own talent straight into the 21st Century. The band have managed to create a sound that is minimal and memorable, guitars twang and drums beat with an infectious energy that is the bands’ calling card. After many years of building up their reputation and to the delight of their many fans, they now release their debut album ‘Diamond In The Sand’ and will take their tunes to Berlin.

// Mike Richards- Musician Mike Richards, a true Welsh original, set up home in Berlin after 20 years of touring the UK and Holland. Forming his band after 3 months of arriving with Rowan Smy – guitarist and producer of Tricone Studios, Mirko Schmitt – drummer, drum teacher and session drummer from Berlin and Aries Guinto, bass guitarist and sound engineer from the Philippines. The band recorded and released their debut CD Anything & Everything in 2012, a compilation of songs written by Mike over a number of years, then produced and arranged with the help of the rest of the band.

// Etikett Radio is the newest sound of Berlin. Live every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night from 7pm- 1am. Affiliated with dBs Music School in Berlin, run and represented by friends and students of dBs Music School, the mission is simple: entertain, update and party with the Berlin massive.
