After visiting KitKat Club for the first time in August 2016, Guust was so taken with the music, the atmosphere and the people that he decided to try his hand at DJing as well. Music has always been his passion, whether as a musician in obscure metal bands or organizing concerts and parties in his hometown. So sharing his favorite beats with a sweaty crowd on the dance floor was an almost natural next step, and with the guidance of party partner Galago he learned his way behind the turntables.
He chose the name KJ.11, a combination of letters as an ode to his roots in the underground metal scene and a number to represent his spiritual beliefs. The mask he often wears reflects this name and is a representation of Señor de La Muerte.
After first playing for KNALL and Minimal Madness parties, step by step he came closer to his ultimate dream, which became reality in August 2019, exactly 3 years after his first visit, when he teamed up with Match Hoffmann and Galago to create for Playing prelude&postlude at the legendary KitKat Club.
Now he can proudly call himself a resident for Nachspiel Club, beyond his wildest imagination.
