On July 11, 2026, YAAM Berlin will host its first-ever Jollof Rice Nations Festival as part of the Afroeuropean Week by Trouble Magazine. Bringing together food lovers, culture enthusiasts, and members of the African diaspora, the event celebrates one of the continent’s most beloved dishes while exploring the rich cultures behind it.

For years, the question of who makes the best Jollof Rice has sparked passionate discussions across countries, communities, and generations. This summer, Berlin will have the opportunity to taste, vote, and decide for themselves.
