Nasti Moto
Hailing from Cyprus and now residing in Berlin, Nasti Moto’s musical journey has taken her around the world from Ibiza to Goa and London to Hong Kong. When asked to describe her sound, Nasti said ‘I don’t focus on a “four on the floor pattern”. I enjoy complex beats which I feel gives the freedom to the audience to choose their own rhythm and expression in their dance and listening experience. I choose music that has eerie or organic sounds, often creeping in when least expected. The style is minimalistic, sure, but I do not believe that makes it any less interesting. I would definitely say I’m a little on the dark side yet I feel there’s a secret happiness in the darkness for those who can grasp it. I get a lot of smiles, that in turn makes me smile.’
