There is a new House and Tech-House Night in Berlin and its VERBOTEN! For this new Friday night party, we came up with a very international line-up. From the US, the First Lady of Beatdown herself, Lady Blacktronika, will spin some Chicago house on the floor. Coming straight from Argentina and Ireland respectively, a regular in the line-up of Beitola and Schwuz parties, Santiago Lecce and the co-founder of "Distraction" party, James Cahill will give us some proper house treatment. And the Brazilian Diego Garcia aka Projekt Gestalten will perform his live act.
Lady Blacktronika (sound black recordings, USA)
Inspired by such Detroit greats as Theo Parrish, Moodymann, and Norma Jean Bell. Lady Blacktronika infuses experiences from her past in gritty street life while bringing a woman's sensitivity and emotion to the Beatdown genre and Chicago influenced House music.
Projekt Gestalten (tranzmitter/perception corp, BRA)
The Berlin-based Brazilian Diego Garcia aka Projekt Gestalten combines various forms of digital media art. On his live act, he manipulates over 4000 loops and samples on the fly combined with analog synths, with an aggressive approach of techno music that detours into house and ambient areas.
Santiago Lecce (eat more beef music, ARG)
One of the crew behind Eat More Beef Music, Santiago Lecce knows how to serve it up to the most carnivorous of house music diners. Starting out secretly playing his ex boyfriend´s records, the Buenos Aires born Berliner became full criminal by taking half the collection and making them his own. Booking other Premium talent by day, before showcasing a collection of cuts that gets the most stubborn herd mooving.
James Cahill (distraction, IRE)
Co-founder of the successful clubnight “Distraction” in Limerick City, James has been heavily responsible in the bringing artists from labels such as Hotflush and Hypercolour to Limerick, Ireland. Performing remains his speciality and since his move to Berlin in 2012, James has played renowned clubs in the form of Sisyphos, Cookies and Farbfernseher.
